Our mission is to ensure the election of conservative candidates to positions at the local, County, State and National levels.
Bastrop County Conservatives is a network of liberty-minded supporters and volunteers dedicated to preserving the family values, faith, and tradition that define our Country.
We support the election of conservative candidates through campaign planning assistance, support and collaboration, and we advocate or oppose legislation and activities in conformity with our values.

We do not believe in government intervention in our capitalist society. The free market should determine prices and quantities of products to be produced and sold.

Everyone should be allowed to speak freely with no controls or restrictions by government or social media.

Male and Female True
Defined as a person being the biological sex to which they were born. An example of this position is, we do not believe males, as defined by our value, should participate in women’s sports.

The freedom to act, work, and behave without retribution bestowed upon members of an organization through legal, regulatory, and societal standards.

Defined as firm adherence to a code of especially moral or altruistic values. Adherence to the facts with sincerity. Fairness and straightforwardness of conduct. This value is crucial for members and supporters of this organization and the politicians the organization supports.

Preserving Dignity of Human Life
An individual’s sense of self-worth and self-respect. It can encompass many things, including the right to fill basic needs, like food, shelter, and personal safety.

Our functional culture is such that members and supporters of the organization will interact with other members and supporters in a professional, courteous, productive, honest, collegial, and collaborative manner. Raised voices and profanities will not be allowed.
Servant Leadership
We believe that we are placed here to serve, from our leaders to our frontline workers. One of our leaders’ primary goals is to support the efforts of our committee leaders and members as they work to achieve our mission.
Small Government
The role of the State and Federal governments should be minimized, especially in providing services and regulation of the private sector.
Use of Funds
As Bastrop County Conservatives’ (“BCC”) monthly operating expenses are sustained by our members, the net proceeds from Rhinestones on the River will be devoted to the support of conservative candidates, ranging from local to national positions. Financial aid for candidates may include contributions for text messaging, block walking, signs, mail-outs, radio advertising, and more. We customize our contributions to each candidate based on their unique financial needs. In most cases, funds for local candidates will be provided using a matching formula, ensuring that the candidates are vested in the process.
Process
BCC follows an interview and selection process where we consider candidates for support and/or endorsement. The initial step involves our Candidate Sourcing and Selection Committee meeting with candidates. Following discussions, the Committee prepares presentations for our BCC Leadership Team. The Team votes on various options, such as allowing candidates to run without our involvement (where candidates are equally qualified), extending support, providing an endorsement, or leveraging our network to identify alternative candidates for the position.
Our Electoral Support Committee actively engages with the candidate, in a manner consistent with the type support chosen by our Leadership Team. Through collaborative discussions, the Committee identifies and tailors support to address the candidate’s specific needs. This support may include access to our proprietary block walking/texting software, guidance on sign development, assistance with their website or social media, and more.
Whether candidates are seasoned, require minimal assistance, or are in need of comprehensive resources, our mission remains steadfast – to support the election of conservative candidates at local, State, and Federal levels.
Results
BCC has achieved success, particularly in our endeavors to support City Council and School Board members. We have been blessed to have supported candidates for city councils in two cities that have moved from liberal to conservative majorities. Recently BCC endorsed candidates seeking positions for US Congress, Texas House of Representatives, Sheriff, County Commissioner, and District Court Judge.
We attribute the success of these candidates to their inherent qualities, including their expertise in the roles they seek, and to some small degree, the varying levels of support they received from BCC. Recognizing that success stems from both candidate merit and our organization’s backing, we take immense pride in the accomplishments of all candidates we have supported.

There is a time when we must fight for what is right. Freedom and free will are gifts and should be protected and nurtured. When we, as a society, stand by and watch others trample these God-given gifts, then we are the problem.
It is our responsibility as fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, families and as a nation to protect these rights. America is a great nation and a great hope. It is a place where everyone is free no matter your race, religion, or social status.
