Official Endorsements
Bastrop County Conservatives vets candidates and endorses those who align with our 15 Core Values. Here's who earned our support.
How We Endorse
Our endorsement process is tailored to each candidate. For incumbents, we may review voting records, consult with colleagues, and consider other relevant performance indicators. For candidates who have not previously held office, we typically place greater emphasis on their professional background, qualifications, and stated objectives. In all cases, candidates are evaluated based on alignment with BCC’s values. Depending on the position, and with the candidate’s consent, a background check may also be conducted.
Following the interviews, we convene a meeting with our members and leadership team during which the outcomes of our discussions with each candidate are presented. Attending members then collectively determine the course of action that BCC will take with respect to each candidate.
