Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about BCC, our mission, and how to get involved in Bastrop County's conservative movement.

About BCC

What is Bastrop County Conservatives (BCC)?

Bastrop County Conservatives is a Political Action Committee (PAC) dedicated to identifying, vetting, and supporting conservative candidates in Bastrop County, Texas. We are a grassroots organization of liberty-minded citizens who believe in family, faith, and freedom. Our mission is to preserve and defend the values that have defined Bastrop County for over 250 years.

Is BCC affiliated with the Republican Party?

BCC is an independent PAC. While we share many values with the Republican Party and primarily endorse Republican candidates, we are not a subsidiary of the Bastrop County Republican Party or the Texas GOP. We make our endorsement decisions independently based on our 15 Core Values.

When and where does BCC meet?

BCC holds regular monthly meetings in Bastrop County. Meeting dates, times, and locations are announced to members via email and posted on our Events page. Meetings typically feature guest speakers, candidate forums, and updates on local issues.

What are BCC's 15 Core Values?

Our 15 Core Values include principles like America First, traditional family values, free speech, the right to bear arms, limited government, fiscal responsibility, and more. Every candidate we endorse is evaluated against these principles. You can read the full list on our About page.

Endorsements

How does the BCC endorsement process work?

Our endorsement process has three stages: (1) Candidate vetting — we distribute questionnaires, conduct interviews, and review public records. (2) Member discussion — vetted candidates are presented and debated at a membership meeting. (3) Member vote — endorsements are decided by a democratic vote of the full BCC membership. No single individual or board controls endorsements.

Who has BCC endorsed?

Our current endorsements for the 2026 Republican Primary and past endorsement results are listed on our Endorsements page. In 2024, every BCC-endorsed candidate won their race in Bastrop County.

Can I participate in the endorsement vote?

Yes — but only BCC members in good standing can vote on endorsements. If you want a voice in who we support, join BCC before the next endorsement cycle.

Membership & Dues

How much does membership cost?

BCC offers four membership tiers: Bronze ($10/month), Silver ($15/month), Gold ($20/month), and Platinum ($40/month). You can view full details and benefits on our Membership page.

How are membership dues used?

Dues directly fund our core mission: vetting and supporting conservative candidates, organizing voter outreach events, producing educational materials, hosting candidate forums, and maintaining our communications infrastructure. As a PAC, our financial activity is reported as required by Texas campaign finance law. We are committed to full transparency and fiscal responsibility with every dollar.

Are donations to BCC tax-deductible?

No. Because BCC is a Political Action Committee, contributions are not tax-deductible. PAC donations are used for political activity including endorsements, candidate support, and voter outreach.

Can I cancel or change my membership at any time?

Yes. You can cancel, upgrade, or downgrade your membership at any time. If you need help with your membership, contact us at Info@BastropCC.com.
